The Sunshine Coast region is home to one of Australia’s only dedicated clean technologies
business associations, Cleantech Industries, which connects, educates, informs and
celebrates businesses and organisations on the sustainability journey.
Clean technologies cover economically viable products, services and processes that harness
renewable materials and energy sources, dramatically reduce the use of natural resources
and cut or eliminate emissions and waste. Cleantech can support increased productivity and
profitability.
In 2010 the major players in the cleantech industry on the Sunshine Coast came together to
promote their businesses and work in collaboration to make a difference.
We see the words ‘cleantech’ and ‘sustainability’ as interchangeable as we continue to work
on encouraging business practices that are clean and profitable.
Cleantech Industries promotes cleantech businesses and sustainability through events,
education, media and advocacy.
We educate the business community about sustainability in business, the United Nations
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) and
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). See our Events.

business practices that are sustainable, profitable and compliant with the ever-increasing
sustainability requirements.
Advocating for the support of cleantech and sustainable solutions and providers is a part of
what we do.
